About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Innsbruck and a former Assistant Professor (fixed-term) at the University of Leipzig. I received my DPhil in Sociology from Nuffield College, University of Oxford (2017) and studied at the universities of Bamberg and Trento.

My research focuses on social stratification and social mobility, education, family, labour markets, educational expansion, educational and welfare institutions and the life course, using advanced longitudinal and cross-national statistical methods.

My work appears in top-tier journals such as the European Sociological Review and Research in Social Stratification and Mobility, and has been funded by the DFG and the German National Academic Foundation.
